The mission of SDMI (Sunday School & Discipleship Ministries International) is to carry out the Great Commission to children, youth, and adults in preparation for a lifetime of being and making disciples in the nations. The "Journey of Grace" is a framework for discipleship. This journey includes Prevenient Grace, Saving Grace, and Sanctifying Grace. In the local church, making disciples is:
Joining people on "the way" to Jesus (Evangelism)
Training people to embrace "The Truth" (New Christians)
Modeling the surrendered "Life" in Christ (Mature Disciples)
As you facilitate and encourage your congregation on this "Journey of Grace", the goal of the VA District SDMI Team is to build and expand bridges (enablers) to assist you in this process.
